No child but must remember laying his head in the grass, staring into the infinitesimal forest and seeing it grow populous with fairy armies.

~Robert Louis Stevenson

Phoebe has been felting for fifteen years and has taught workshops for adults and children in North America, Europe, and Aotearoa New Zealand. Her animals and birds are made from wool and silk using a combination of wet felting and needle felting techniques. The figures are hand-sewn from natural fibres and are inspired by vintage illustration. She works out of a small home studio surrounded by a cacophony of cicadas and children. Alongside felting, she studies Art History and English at the University of Auckland.
